Widespread.
Habitat:
Woods and scrub, parks, etc.
Comments:
Neophyte in South Lancashire. Extensively planted and frequently escaping from
cultivation especially in the urban areas. The earliest record traced is from
Chat Moss (SJ79C, C Bailey, 1874, MANCH). Many records may be Sorbus
aria ss but several over species may also occur.
