Distribution:
Widespread as a planted shrub.
Habitat:
On canal banks, in parks, amenity shrub plantings and a relic of cultivation
at abandoned gardens.
Comments:
Neophyte, native to southern Europe. The earliest record traced is that of a
planted bush by sea bank, Marshside (SD3519, DP Earl, 1995).
